Jean Dieuveut Bien-Aimé, age 70, of Hamilton died Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital of Hamilton surrounded by his loving family. Born in Léogâne, Haiti, Jean emigrated to the United States in October of 2010 where he resided with his daughter Andrée Rose. He was employed by the Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village. In his homeland he was self employed as both a farmer and a craftsman of chairs. Jean loved to work and even after his illness he was eager to return to work, planting a vegetable garden for his daughter to prove he was capable of returning to work. Jean was a devout Catholic and was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Son of the late Antoine and Philosia (Fedney) Bien-Aimé; beloved husband of the late Marie Rose Jovin-Bien-Aimé; Jean is survived by his eight children: Gabriel Bien-Aimé, Andrée Rose Eloizard, Denise Bien-Aimé, Bertrand Bien-Aimé, Margareth LeGrand, Mirlande Mathias, Vanicia Bien-Aimé, and Wilda Bien-Aimé; thirteen grandchildren: Billy François, Roselande Bien-Aimé, Kerby François, Gertrude, Berlande, Wenkize, Bradley, Francesca, Kevin, and Peterson Bien-Aimé, Julianna Eloizard, Mikerlange Bien-Aimé, and Caylee Legrand; one great granddaughter, Ariel McGregor; three sisters: Inadie Bien-Aimé, Denise Bien-Aimé, and Philomène Bien-Aimé; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends both here and in Haiti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Anthony’s Church, 626 So. Olden Ave., Trenton, NJ. Burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ. Family and friends may pay their respects to the family prior to mass at the church on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
