Chester Latini, 96, of Trenton, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Atrium Post Acute Care at Hamilton. Born in Hamilton, NJ, Chester was a lifelong Trenton area resident. He was a U.S. Army AirForce World War II veteran. He was employed as a machine operator with Crescent Insulated Wire and Cable Company for 38 years and then went on to work as head custodian for about 15 years with the Johnson Park School in Princeton, NJ.
Chester was a hard working family man who enjoyed traveling. He loved horse racing, and was an excellent cook who made awesome lasagna, chicken cacciatore, and gnocchi for his family. He was married for 53 years to the love of his life, Gertrude with whom he raised three children whom he adored. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Son of the late Augusto and Yolanda (Vitangeli) Latini; beloved husband of the late Gertrude Anna (Carbaugh) Latini; sister of the late, Philip, Joseph, Livio, Thomas, Quintin Latini, and Lena Bartolini; Chester leaves behind to mourn his loss, his three children, August Latini and wife Faith, Diane Latini, and Russell Latini; a granddaughter, Dawn Deering; a grandson, Eric Gibbs; two great grandchildren, Anjelika Ramirez and Domingues Buenrostro; a great great grandson, Colten Stanley; a brother, August Latini and wife Dorothy; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Shern and Lillian Maisto; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Ave., Ewing, NJ 08638. Burial will follow in Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton, NJ. Family and friends may call Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
