Joseph Mulé Jr.
Joseph V. “Joey” Mulé Jr., 71, of Mercerville, NJ entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Acuity Specialty at Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro, NJ surrounded by his loving family and dearest friends. Born in Trenton, Joey was a lifelong area resident. Joey was a master plumber who owned and operated Mulé Plumbing & Heating for 50 years. He was a former National Guard serving in the 112th Artillery, receiving an award for marksmanship. Joey loved to both watch and play tennis. He enjoyed traveling to see the pros at the U.S. Open and played recreationally with his friends on a regular basis. Joey was a huge fan of Frank Sinatra and had a large collection of recordings, as well as Sinatra memorabilia. He was also a fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants.
In his youth Joey played the drums and was a drummer with a band that played at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City. He enjoyed his work, especially loving to socialize with those around him. He was everyone’s “best friend”. Joey was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, Godfather, and friend to many.
Son of the late Joseph and Lucy (Scalemere) Mulé; Joey is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Helena D. (Patsas) Mulé; his two sons, Stefan Schenck and wife Maria, and Vaughn Schenck; three beloved grandchildren, Julian, Antonio, and Bianca Schenck; a sister, Sande Mulé and her daughter, Solana Sorrento; a sister-in-law, Georgia Patsas and her children, Deanna and Sean Robertson; six Godchildren: Angel, Deanna, Joanna, Lindsey, Michael and Solana; as well as many other family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3816 E. State St. Ext., Hamilton, NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ. Family and friends may call Sunday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Monday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.
