Ralph Anthony Chiappetta, 75, of Yardville, NJ entered into God’s eternal rest on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at New Brunswick surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. He retired in 2005 after 26 years of dedicated service at PSE&G. Ralph loved to work with his hands, especially fixing cars, carpentry, and maintaining his home. He enjoyed collecting model trains and cars. He loved to play guitar and in his youth was in a band. He loved nothing more than surrounding himself with his beloved family and friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Son of the late Anthony and Marion (DiPaola) Chiappetta; brother of the late Anthony Chiappetta; brother-in-law of the late Minnie Contursi and Wally Bowden; Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Alice (Sterphone) Chiappetta; his two sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph Jr. and Janelle, Joseph and Kristen; four grandchildren, Gianna, Dominic, Rocco, and Francesca; two sisters, Marie and husband Dennis Franco, and Rae and Frank Zrinsky; three sisters-in-law, Dolores Bowden, Julie Vanderheyden and husband Jerry, and Vera Dugan and husband George; a brother-in-law, Angelo Contursi; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 555 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Yardville, NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, 1200 Cedar Ln., Hamilton, NJ.
