Frances Maria (Vernace) Mangiaracina

Frances Maria Mangiaracina, 81, of Hamilton, NJ, entered into her eternal rest with the Lord on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Serenity Hospice Unit at RWJ Hamilton surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Camporeale, Sicily, Italy to parents Anthony and Melchiorra (Montalbano) Vernace.  Frances along with her late husband Francesco, owned and operated a delicatessen, Hicksville Farms located in Hicksville in Long Island, NY for many years.  Frances loved quality time spent with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed hosting holiday get-togethers, and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.

Daughter of the late Anthony and Melchiorra (Montalbano) Vernace; beloved wife of the late Francesco Mangiaracina; sister of the late Vita, Josephine, Gina, Bartolo, Michael, and Vincent.  Frances is survived by her three children, Dr. Giacomo Mangiaracina and wife Amelia, Michela Mangiaracina, and Melissa Urso; five grandchildren, Francesco, Christina, James, Michela, and Francesca; two great-grandchildren, Ella and Giacomo; a brother-in-law, Pietro Mangiaracina; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Gregory the Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Sq., NJ.  Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, 1800 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frances' memory to TASK, Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, 72 Escher St., Trenton, NJ 08609.
