Obituary for Callie J Olexy
Callie Janos Olexy, 101, of Pennington, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Brandywine Senior Living in Pennington.
Born in New York and raised in Easton, Pa. After marring, she resided in the Trenton area.
Prior to her retirement, Callie worked as an engineering aide with the New Jersey Department of Transportation. After retiring at the age of 75, she volunteered for another ten years with NJDOT.
She loved traveling, bowling, doing crewel and knitting, but her one true passion in life was her daughter.
Predeceased by her parents, John and Merope (Silogistos) Janos, her brothers, Bill, Alex, Paul, Gus and George, and sisters Helen and Mary, she is survived by her daughter Janis and son-in-law, Frank Stia; her sister-in-law, Margo Reed and her nephews and nieces.
Greek Orthodox funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1200 Klockner Rd., Hamilton, NJ. 08619
Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ 08610.
Calling hours will be Monday, August 27 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Brandywine of Pennington, 143 W. Franklin Avenue, Pennington, NJ 08534, St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1200 Klockner Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619, or Princeton Home Care Hospice, 88 Princeton Hightstown Road, Suite 202, Princeton Junction, NJ 08550.
