Obituary for Helen Marie Raub (Mikula)

Helen Marie Raub, 77, of Ewing, entered into God’s eternal rest on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton surrounded by her loving family. Born in Trenton she was a lifelong area resident, living in Ewing for the past 38 years. She was formerly employed as both a waitress and a baker at the General Quarters formerly located at the Mercer County Airport and was a waitress at the Stage Depot in Hopewell for many years. Helen loved to cook, bake, and garden. She enjoyed trips to both Parks Casino and Atlantic City, NJ. She loved nothing more than spending time with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren. Helen was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Daughter of the late John and Helen (Shirm) Mikula; partner for 30 years to the late Vincent Savage; mother of the late Robert Joseph Hersing and Veronica “Ronnie” Lathers; sister of the late Bettylou Mikula; Helen is survived by her four children, Henry “Danny” Raub and fiancée Marybeth Redfern, Patricia and husband Charles Wyckoff II, Anthony Joseph Raub and wife Heather, and Kenneth Raub and wife Deborah; a son-in-law, Larry Lathers; ten grandchildren, Daniel Jason Raub, Christopher Redfern, Charles Wyckoff III and fiancée Shelby Pedersen, Ashley Wyckoff, Sierra Mitchell, Anthony Raub Jr., Dylan and Samantha Raub, Michael and Jonathan Lathers; two sisters, Pearl Poli and Maryann Cray; a brother, Joseph Mikula and wife Eleanor; as well as nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Christian funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 12:00 PM at the Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Ave., Ewing, NJ 08638. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Ln., Hamilton, NJ.
