Helen (Petro) DeLia, 98, of Winter Park, FL, entered into her eternal rest on Saturday, December 1. 2018 at her residence in Florida. Born and raised in Trenton she had resided in the Trenton area for most of her life. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education and had been a school teacher with Washington Elementary School for 19 years and prior to that had taught at Immaculate Conception School for 10 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher and friend to many.

Daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Marolda) Petro; beloved wife of the late Vincent DeLia; sister of the late Frank Petro; Helen is survived by her two daughters, Joan Flewelling (Steve) of Winter Park, FL, and Virginia “Ginny” Howell (William) of Salem, SC; three grandchildren, Jacob and Jaclyn Flewelling, and B.J. Howell.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in her memory on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Raphael’s Church, 3500 So. Broad St., Hamilton, NJ. Cremation was held privately in Florida. Burial of her cremated remains will be a private ceremony at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s memory to: St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at or to a charity of your choice.

Mrs. DeLia was my third grade teacher at Immaculate Conception a long time ago. She was a wonderful teacher and I remember doing especially well in 3rd grade. May she rest in the peace of Christ. Prayers and Blessings to the DeLia family. Deacon Steve Szmutko, Ewing NJ
