Obituary

Samuel A. Notarianni, 73, of New Egypt, entered into God’s care Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital in Browns Mills, NJ.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa., raised in Ewing and has resided in Yardville prior to moving to New Egypt, where he resided for the past seventeen years.

Sam, as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, proudly served in the Army National Guard of New Jersey.

He was formerly employed by the Ford Motor Company and was the former owner of J&S Sports of Hamilton. His recent employment was with the State of New Jersey for over 25 years prior to his retirement.

Sam loved old cars and attending old car shows. He was an avid Eagles and Philly fan. He loved coaching for the Sunnybrae Little League and the Hamilton Babe Ruth League, but his greatest love was watching his grandchildren play sports.

Sam was a loving devoted husband, father, grandfather and a special friend to everyone.

Predeceased by his parents Anthony S. and Yolanda Notarianni and his brother Peter Notarianni, he is survived by his loving wife, Diane (Coulton) Notarianni; his devoted children, Angela Kelly and husband Frank, Samuel Notarianni, Jr. and wife Michelle; three adored grandchildren, Lucas, Alyssa and Emily; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Alison Coulton, four nieces and his lifelong friend, Tom Zuccarello and his wife Sue.

The funeral will be held 8:45 am Saturday, August 24, 2019 from Parkside Brenna Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Avenue, Ewing, NJ 08638.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9:30 am Saturday, at Incarnation Church, 1545 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ 08618.

Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610.

Calling hours will be Friday, August 23, 2019 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, August 24, from 8:00 am to 8:45 am at the funeral home.

We referred to Sam as 'Senior". Although many called him "The Pope", we preferred "Senior", as we believed he liked it. We spoke to him many times at the barn during baseball practice, he was always very friendly and hospitable. We appreciated his fondness of classic cars and baseball. Please accept our deepest sympathy and condolences.

We were so blessed to meet Big Sam when Sammy and Michelle became high school sweethearts. He always treated Michele like his own and we were so thankful for their relationship especially when we were transferred to a Texas. We could not of had a better man to share our grand children with. He was the best to Pop Pop to Lucas and Alyssa always Being their biggest fan. We enjoyed the friendship we had with him and Diane and He will be forever missed. Thank you Big Sam for all your love and support. We will always be grateful for you being a part of our family. Love, Denny and Dottie
