Although we've never met I want to express my deepest sympathy to you & Joe's family. Joe and I were boyhood friends, went to St. Stevens together, in the scouts together, went camping together, etc. In 1966 Joe became godfather to our son. We left NJ in 1979 when our company moved to NC and lost touch with Joe. We now live in AZ but every once in a while I'll come across a picture that brings back those memories of Joe. I'm sorry this posting is so late but I just found out today that Joe had passed. Again, my sincere condolences.

Joe and Cindy are very dear to me and my family. We are from a military family and we moved to a different place every 2-3 years. Wherever we were, we would drive to Aunt Rose and Uncle Joe’s home. We spent nearly every Christmas with them. I think of Joe and his family every Christmas and always will. He was a great cousin.
One of my very favorite memories of Joe and Cindy is when we visited during Hurricane Sandy. My mother, sisters, Joe, Cindy and myself all sat around their wood stove laughing about all the funny stuff on You Swear.com. I laughed until I cried. I was rolling on the floor. Good times.

Joe and I go way back to my days as a Regional Materials Engineer at the NJDOT. He was one of the best, if not the best, inspector and non-engineer supervisor, I ever had the pleasure to work with. He had an outstanding personality that exuded confidence and authority, but in a warm and friendly way. I also considered him to be a true friend of my wife and me. I will truly miss him.

I miss you so much, Uncle Joe! We had lots of great times together. I loved visiting you at your beautiful home, playing with the dogs, and talking with you about trains/stamps/road building, and whatever else happened to form our conversations. You exemplified hard work, and I was so fortunate to have you in my life. Until we meet again :) Please say hello to Dad for me in heaven. No doubt, he's ecstatic to have you with him. Love you lots! --Amanda
