Ernie was my helpful, jovial colleague at Mercer County Community College in the early '80s, when the performing arts high school was launched. A wonderful guy. I don't have a picture of HIM, but I do have the really fun photo he took of ME. I'm guessing that's typically generous of this multitalented man.

Ernie taught with my dad, and one of the memories I carry with me is him riding bikes from his house to our house (when we lived in Hamilton Township) with his son Eric. As a kid back then the fact someone could ride a bike THAT FAR was like from the end of the earth to my house. It really impressed me, and to this day, I have toured on my bike many times and think it's due to that adventurous spirit he had which I still carry on. There are lots of other memories but this one sticks in my head the most.

I was sad to hear of the passing of Ernie. As my high school music teacher his classes, the choir and the musicals are my fondest memories. His love of music was contagious. He became friends with our friendly and remember him visiting us and sang as my dad played the piano. He was the best. Rest In peace Ernie and prayers for his daughter and family.
