Caliope Muzithras, 80, of Lawrenceville, NJ entered into her eternal rest in the Lord on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at her daughter’s home surrounded by loving family. Born in Steubenville, Ohio, Callie as she was affectionately known to family and friends had resided in the Lawrence area for the past 60 years. Callie was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Hamilton, NJ where she was also a member of its Philoptochos Society and a member of the Daughters of Penelope Altes #163 as well as Agia Markella.

May The Lord rest the soul of κ. Καλιόπη! I was honored to be her neighbor in the church pews. I loved her politeness, her sweet smile and warm personality. Her face lit when talking about raising four darling daughters and about the family summer trips to Chios. She insisted on calling me by my middle name because that was her dear little sister's name. When speaking Greek, she always used plural (the polite) form, in honor of her teachers and the valuable lessons she had learned from them she told me. Sincere condolences to the family!

I'd like to extend my deepest condolences to Callie's family for your loss. Callie attended a Balance & Stability class that I taught for a few years at the Ewing Presbyterian Church on Friday mornings. She was such a joy to have in class. She always brought a positive attitude, and even printed out some jokes to share during our breaks in class. The other participants always asked where she was when she had to miss, and I know they will all miss her dearly. Callie shared with me her recipe for moussaka, which I just made a few weeks ago. I will remember her fondly and please know that she was loved by many. Sincerely, Kate Quinlan
