Christopher Blair DePace, 64, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on April 14, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton. Chris was born in 1956, the third of six children to Larry and Mary DePace (née Blair), in Sewickley, PA. He moved many times before settling in Hamilton with his wife, Donna, nine years ago. In 1978, he graduated from Bowling Green State University in Northwest Ohio with a B.S. in Business Administration. He spent much of his early career in Michigan as a regional salesperson for Roadway and Ryder Logistics. Recently, Chris was employed as a senior account manager with the New Jersey Manufacturer’s Extension Program.

Chris was very active and could be found at Mercer Oaks Golf Course with his friends almost every weekend. He loved ice hockey and played in pickup games once a week. Chris also enjoyed working on home projects and helping his wife tend to their horses. His other hobbies included jogging, biking, attending sports games, and organizing family vacations. During his younger years he enjoyed skiing, water sports, and playing catch with his kids in the backyard.

He was often the life of the party and made it his personal mission to make sure everyone was included. His personality was the perfect blend of outgoing and kind. Chris took a genuine interest in meeting new people and finding connections in the places he lived or traveled. For those who were closer to him, he provided unconditional love and support in a way that seemed effortless. Chris could always be counted on to be there when you needed him, in good times and in bad. Most of all, he will be remembered as a gracious son, caring brother, loving husband, wonderful father, and extremely proud grandfather. He will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Son of the late Larry DePace, Chris is survived by his mother, Mary DePace; loving wife, Donna DePace; two sons, Mitch and wife Allison DePace, and Brett DePace; two step-daughters, Krista and husband Gary Collins, and Jenna Bayer and fiancé Bill Henry; one granddaughter, Amelia DePace; five siblings, Larry and wife Joyce DePace, Mary Lynn Murray, Tracie and husband Jim Harwood, Patrick and wife Jennifer DePace, and Gregory and wife Natalie DePace; as well as many nephews, nieces, other family members, and countless friends.

A private Mass will be held for Christopher. Cremation was performed privately. Due to Covid-19, the family will announce a celebration of Christopher’s life at a more appropriate time for everyone’s safety. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Christopher’s memory to the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 fund at

Donna, I am so very sorry to hear the loss of your husband Chris. From all that I heard, he was truly a wonder man, husband, father , and good friend to so many. Words of comfort seem so inadequate. I pray for him and for healing of you and Chris' family.
