John Carson Robbins, Jr., 85, of Ewing, NJ, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024 at home. Born in Yardley, PA, John had resided in Ewing Township for over 55 years. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Newark College of Engineering by attending night classes and working during the day to provide a better life for his family. John was formerly employed for many years at the Thiokol Chemical Company in Trenton where he met the love of his life and soulmate, Sandra (Sulek) Robbins who he was married to for over 50 years.
John enjoyed fishing, golfing, and traveling the world with his beloved wife and their friends, Dave and Jane Packer, visiting Bermuda, Alaska, Maine, and many other places. He was a member of the Hibernians, and was proud of his time served in the NJ National Guard.
John was extremely dedicated to his family, he was a great husband, father, and grandfather. He was always there when needed and would do anything for his family. John also enjoyed coaching soccer when he was younger through the West End Soccer Association.
Son of the late John Carson and Anna (Doyle) Robbins; and husband of the late Sandra Helen (Sulek) Robbins. John is survived by his two loving sons, John Robbins and wife Kelly of Ewing, NJ, and James Robbins and wife Jocelyn of Savannah, GA; four grandchildren, Matthew, Gregory, Kyle, and Damien; as well as other family and friends.
Cremation was held privately and was under the direction of the Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Ave., Ewing, NJ 08638. There will be no calling hours. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
